I am writing you to let you know how well your company was represented today. Your dispatch sent two techs to our home to investigate our HVAC problem. I was impressed with their knowledge and relaxed manor. They quickly determined the issues and presented me with the options. They did not try to rush me or rush through the service call. This time of year, I know you are in high demand. I had just paid our annual maintenance contract with our current service company. We have been using them for a number of years. Our downstairs HVAC system started acting up Saturday evening. Back in February the tech added 2 pounds of Freon to the downstairs unit and said I needed a $450.00 leak check, and he would have the office call and schedule it. They did not. That was the 2nd time they failed to follow up within the last 2 years. Then on the current service call, the tech told me my compressor was most likely bad, “it had open windings”, and it needed to be replaced. He might be able to get it to work briefly, but that would be wasting money. The ball park price for installing another compressor would be around $1800. He would have the office contact me with the actual price. Two days later, and we had not heard from them. Meantime, we had no HVAC downstairs. I decided to call another service provider. An internet search brought your listing up. That and your current TV ad campaign made me decide to give your company a try. Your techs were able to identify the problem as a defective start capacitor and a weak run capacitor. Your techs made a great first impression for your company. I feel they went above and beyond what they had to do. After the compressor started running the pressures were all in the normal ranges which indicates that if I have a leak it is most likely very small. I have decided to go with your company as our HVAC service provider. It will be up to the future techs that your dispatch sends to keep my business. If they are as nice and helpful as those today were, then I’m sure we will do fine together.

We had an appointment for a maintenance check up for a Friday afternoon with no specific time. Hep called ahead before coming. We were not ready for them to stop by and the service man politely asked for a time and showed up exactly when I asked him to. My husband had a lot of questions about our new heating system and the serviceman politely and patiently answered them all.

Thank you Jacob for helping us make an informed decision on a new HVAC! We had a 1996 HVAC that was struggling and needed to be replaced. Our temperature is constant now and running half the time our old one did. Sebastion did a wonderful job installing it and I hope he made it through this summer heat! He was kind and professional and didn't want to leave until everything was completed and running properly.

  • High-efficiency pleated filters that trap microscopic particles
  • UV germicidal lights installed at the evaporator coil to inhibit microbial growth
  • Whole-home humidifiers that maintain comfortable moisture levels during dry winter air

By addressing both temperature and air purity, HEP enhances overall living conditions in Sequatchie residences.

Common Heating Systems Serviced by HEP

Gas Furnaces

Natural gas furnaces remain popular for their robust heat output and quick temperature rise. HEP technicians are trained to interpret furnace error codes, test gas pressure, and replace worn igniters or flame sensors that commonly fail after years of service.

Heat Pumps

In mild winter climates such as Sequatchie, heat pumps offer efficient heating by extracting warmth from outdoor air. HEP’s repair scope covers defrost control boards, reversing valves, and auxiliary heat strips that ensure consistent performance even during brief cold snaps.

Electric Furnaces

Electric resistance furnaces boast fewer mechanical parts but require meticulous electrical testing. HEP technicians verify sequencer function, inspect heating coils, and confirm tight electrical connections to prevent arcing or overheating.

With smart thermostat integration handled by HEP professionals, Sequatchie households achieve an ideal blend of comfort, convenience, and conservation.

Ductwork Optimization for Better Heat Delivery

Even the most advanced furnace cannot perform efficiently if conditioned air never reaches the intended rooms. Sequatchie homes, particularly older constructions, may suffer from leaky or poorly insulated ducts hidden in crawl spaces, basements, or attics. HEP addresses duct integrity during heat repair visits, ensuring the distribution network complements newly serviced equipment rather than undermining it.

Signs of Duct Leakage

  • Noticeable drafts around supply registers despite system operation
  • Excessive dust accumulation shortly after cleaning
  • Rooms that remain chilly while others overheat
  • Whistling sounds indicating air escaping through gaps
  • Insulation discoloration or black streaks around joints and seams

Professional Sealing Techniques

  • Application of water-based mastic to coat and reinforce joint connections
  • Mechanical fastening with sheet-metal screws followed by foil-backed tape
  • External insulation wraps to minimize conductive heat loss in unconditioned spaces
  • Post-sealing pressure testing to verify leakage reduction targets

By fortifying duct systems, HEP helps Sequatchie homeowners capture every bit of warmth their heating equipment produces, maximizing return on investment and elevating overall comfort levels.
